In Paige's own words...

In a world full of ever-changing cultural and societal norms, with staggering amounts of disposable income available to more, we no longer can define luxury objectively. In this Me Generation, we all want luxury on our own terms, as we curate and assess our indulgences. I tell my daughters luxury is not an absolute goal, nor about living life in great comfort and elegance, at enormous expense, as done in the days of yore. For my family, luxuries revolve around education and experiences – London’s West End, Beijing’s dumplings, Vienna’s music, Niseko’s powder skiing. My husband Jim and I aim to teach our daughters Happy and Bee to value and savor time. Rare, out-of-reach, invaluable time – the true pinnacle of luxury. Time to read three chapters in Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls with Bee before bedtime, time to stroll in the Botanic Gardens with Happy and our lovable labradoodle Bella, time to treasure a meal at CUT with Jim and the girls, without an agenda – that’s my idea of luxury in a day where material wealth alone cannot bring contentment. This is my wish for Mother’s Day: time for you, me, us to appreciate the genuine luxuries in our lives.
